Cell phone talkers/wavers should be banned from major league ballparks.

BA > Mackowiak

Ozzies a hypocrite, and if you don't think so read this

"Right now we have to put the best lineup [on the field]. It's a must-win thing and not just play the game."

Why isn't Pods on the bench? and why isn't Cintron at SS?

This team has no fire. Ozzie has been quiet the whole 2nd half(nothing but cliches in his quotes) and his team has played like a bunch of sheep. The bullpen sucks, and, will somebody besides JD get a big hit??!! Oh yeah, and somebody wake up Pods when the season's over.

I am afraid that if Ozzie keeps Brian Anderson on the bench any longer Kenny Williams will trade him for Carl Everett. Of course since Crazy Carl is no longer connected to any team, Brian would be traded directly to Carl and become his man-servant. What I am trying to say is PLEASE start Brian Anderson!

My guess is that Ozzie is still starting Mack in CF because Anderson, although batting .234 (a vast improvement over his first-half batting average), is absolutely terrible with runners in scoring position. And BA's batting .000 with the bases loaded, in 8 AB.

It's those situations that Ozzie is probably referring to when he says 'it's a must-win thing.' Anderson is a long way from being any kind of a clutch hitter yet.

awww. poor brian.

he should get a lot more playing time than he does. if ozzie wants to win now, why keep throwing macko out there?!

Hey, Pods was 2 for 3 with a walk, RBI and runs scored. Also had SB. What game were you watching? Pods needs to play, AJ needs to play and so does BA.

I challenge you to identify 5 games where Pods had an impact. Not decent stats in a game they lost, but an IMPACT. I can think of at least 10 such games from last year. He has sleepwalked through this season.

I think that BA's defense out weighs what Mack could possibly bring to the "best line-up possible"...

I think Mack should be considered part of the Sox best lineup, but not in his current capacity.

Mack in LF, BA in CF is our best option. Mack and Pods defensive skills (or lack there of) are pretty level, but Mack is batting .289 vs Pods' .261.

BA is going to be gone next year. Ozzie hates him. His problem with him is personal, not with his numbers. I wish that he would stay because he's probably the best center fielder in the game right now, but you can't argue with an insane manager...
