Roller Floater

This is the strip that appears in the Sunday edition of the Daily Southtown Sports section. It is on newsstands this morning.

I have to submit the strip that I draw for the Sunday paper on Thursday night, so I had this one done before Jose's start on Friday. I think the three errors had more to do with last night's loss than Jose did. Nevertheless, the roller coaster ride continues.

Well, that summed up the feelings of most Sox fans pretty nicely. Great work, Carl!

LOL! It's not just Jose -- it's the whole team! It's sure been that kind of ride for the last couple of months... but the bright spot in last night's game was Charlie Haegar. How about that knuckleballing kid! I remember Hoyt Wilhelm and Wilbur Wood, and I'd LOVE to see a good knuckleball pitcher on the White Sox.

As usual, spot on! Carl, I'm curious: Have you received feedback on the comic strip from any players or coaches?

I love your use of 'nevertheless,' Carl; Farmio would be proud!

El Farmio - Tiki Head - how appropriate!

Freddy, another unstable member of the crew. So much flotsom and jettsom to jettison (walk the plank) at the end of this season.

Vasquez, Garcia and Pods are on my list to toss overboard.
